A poem I found which I wrote in 2006. Here's an idea of how my writing was back when I was a teen.
Why do feel this warm feeling
This small jolt in the stomach
Whenever
I see you
Is it a sickness?
No, it’s the effects of love
I long to run with you across the plains
To brush against your smooth, hard flank in play
Or prick an ear to the cadence of your voice
Day by day I let myself be led away from my companions
Even my shoulder friend
To run with you along the wet, golden beaches
Or up on the high lands above the cliff-lined shore
Above us sea birds fly
Herons dive for fish
And the wind blows our fur across our shoulders
Yours sting my shoulder as it blows with the wind
Our eyes lock
Possibilities flash before our eyes
Dancing beneath the full moon
Month time, pups, running together across the plain
When I look into your eyes
I know...I love you
Why do feel this warm feeling
This small jolt in the stomach
Whenever
I see you
Is it a sickness?
No, it’s the effects of love
I long to run with you across the plains
To brush against your smooth, hard flank in play
Or prick an ear to the cadence of your voice
Day by day I let myself be led away from my companions
Even my shoulder friend
To run with you along the wet, golden beaches
Or up on the high lands above the cliff-lined shore
Above us sea birds fly
Herons dive for fish
And the wind blows our fur across our shoulders
Yours sting my shoulder as it blows with the wind
Our eyes lock
Possibilities flash before our eyes
Dancing beneath the full moon
Month time, pups, running together across the plain
When I look into your eyes
I know...I love you
