This is based on a prompt that asked the writer to create a book sleeve description of a book they would like to write. I already had the title, but no story to go along with it. Luckily I was able to find it a good home in an incredibly fictional concept for a book.

The Devil Takes Austerity Measures is the story of how Germany led the world out of the worst economic disaster since the Great Depression, and in the process, ushered in a new era of international cooperation and stability.
